Please note: Dilating the pupils is always optional. We recommend all new patients to be dilated for a thorough baseline exam for future reference. The dilation procedure will result in enlarged pupils for a period of 3-4 hours. Dilated patients will experience increased light sensitivity and increased difficulty reading during this time. If you are driving and do not have sunglasses or a driver, don’t worry, we will provide you with temporary shades.
